This will tick all the boxes for a perfect country horse riding getaway not far from Brisbane, Ipswich and the Gold Coast, Queensland!
Starting from our property in Coominya, we ride our trusty steeds along the scenic Brisbane Valley Rail Trail towards Esk. Stopping halfway to rest and have a saddle bag lunch, then continue our trek into the gorgeous town of Esk. After the horses are fed and put to bed, we will head to The Grand Hotel, where a good warm shower, delicious dinner, and cold drinks are the order of the day.
The next morning, we will enjoy a big brekky at the local cafe, then saddle up and ride back to Coominya. We often see koalas and other Aussie wildlife along the trail. The ride is approximately 4 hours with a ride length of 20km each day, with the horses walking, trotting, and cantering along the trail. This trek is very popular, and we have been hosting the Esk Experience for over 5 years!

- Experienced (ridden all their lives, professional rider, competed, or etc)

We advise you to wear/bring the following:
- Sunscreen
- Jeans/Riding Pants
- Sleeved Shirt
- Boots (or some smooth soled shoes – REQUIRED to ride)
- Water Bottle (to take with you in the saddlebag)
- Overnight bag (which will be taken to the hotel by our vehicle)
- Raincoat in case of showers
All riders MUST wear helmets. We have helmets available to use if you don’t have one!
